1987 Nonsuch 30 Ultra

Hinterhoeller Yachts of Canada produced about 1,000 of these immensely popular cat boats.  Designed to be very easy to sail with a single wishbone rigged self-tacking and self-vanging mainsail, she is also very stable with her 39% ballast to displacement ratio.  Her cat-rigged mast flexes to leeward to spill wind keeping the boat from being over-powered when the wind pipes up.

At 11'10" beam for 30'4" length, the beam to length ratio is extreme in comparison to most monohulled sailboats.  This makes for not only a comfortable ride, but results in an enormous amount of living space, and a very comfortable cockpit with clean uncluttered decks.  

White Bear’s spacious and well-ventilated interior make her an ideal live aboard cruiser.  The salon features an L-shaped dinette with fold down table and an opposing settee that converts to a double berth. She has a full head with separate shower stall and a separate master cabin with a large permanent double pullman berth with hanging locker and plenty of storage.
