This is a great opportunity to get into a pre scrimp J/105 at a terrific price! JGPC is fully equipped and ready to go. The boat has just returned from the boatyard, where it had new bottom paint and PropSpeed applied. The keel and rudder have been faired, templated, and given a seal of approval by J105 guru Jeff Thorpe of Quantum Sails.
JGPC has a white hull with navy soft trim and navy boot stripe, and has a high functioning set of electronics with a recent upgrades..
Her Yanmar engine has been well maintained, including a recent full service in August 2023. The toe rails were replaced in 2020 Along with new standing rigging, the Hall Spars mast was sand-blasted and repainted in 2021. New mainsheet system with fine tune installed in 2020. The main halyard and jib sheets were replaced in 2022 with her wheel/pedestal/steering mechanism rebuilt/replaced in 2022 as well.
The J/105 has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the largest classes of cruiser/racers in the US - and a vibrant San Francisco one design fleet. A crew friendly cockpit with a fast and easy to set spinnaker on a retractable bowsprit makes for a great sailing platform.This is the perfect boat to get out one design-racing in San Francisco's very active J/105 fleet.
