2000 Santa Cruz 52

Alameda, California

$329,900

Roxanne, the second to last 52 to come out of Santa Cruz is one of the nicest ones you will find.

She was originally built to go cruising with a family which she did taking one lap around the pacific

before returning to the San Francisco bay where she has sailed sparingly for the last 10 years.

This boat is the full offshore cruise set up with all lines coming back to the cockpit for sail handling.

Electric primaries make her a breeze to sail short handed and with a Dutchman system on the

mainsail sailing with two is easy.

The boat has been constantly maintained by a very vigilant owner that always stayed ahead of the maintenance needs.

This boat is ready to take the next trip around the Pacific.

Lying in San Francisco, CA

Construction: Hull and Deck

The Santa Cruz 52 was designed and engineered to yield high strength to weight ratios with specifications that meet and exceed ABS Standards.

The hull is constructed of hand laid fiberglass and end-grain balsa core sandwich bonded with vinylester resin and epoxy using vacuum bag technology in a female mold.

All interior bulkheads and furniture are bonded directly to the hull to provide an integrated support structure that is stiff and light.

The forward section of the hull includes a Kevlar collision mat and a watertight bulkhead for safety.

The deck is constructed of hand laid fiberglass laminate incorporating balsa core on the cabin top and side decks to save weight where appropriate.
