2002 J Boats J/120
Looking for a fast offshore racer, or a very comfortable fast cruiser, that can be sailed singlehanded or shorthanded?
Winner of the 2006 Singlehanded TransPac, Alchera has a proven track record of successful long distance offshore racing and cruising. This J/120 was custom factory built with modifications specifically for shorthanded operation. Two additional winches accessible from the helm allow for easy tacking and gybing by one person. A redesign of the running rigging allows for the mainsail to be reefed from within the cockpit without having to go forward to the mast. There is also a second watertight compartment in the bow section for even more security against water intrusion in the event of striking a submerged object.
Alchera has a fully loaded nav station including: SSB, Satphone, radar, chartplotter, and AIS. She is also equipped with a Spectra Watermaker for long distance cruising without worrying about water stops! Many more features listed in the specifications.
This unique J/120 is well equipped for short handed performance cruising and offshore racing.
Check it out, she might well be the nicest J/120 on the west coast.
